This Japanese Honeysuckle can really

climb, as you can see him climbing up the

fence.  If given enough rope or wire

to climb, he can really go up to quite a

height.  He has a pretty smell and the

blossoms and leaves make a beverage

tea.  Flower extracts are said to be

good for your health.

Mullein tea gives vitamins b2, b5, b12 and

many valuable minerals.  It is

considered an effective herbal remedy

for coughs.  Also, it makes a nice

substitute for toilet paper.

The Day Lilys have tubers on their roots,

which identiufy them as non poisonous.  No

poisonous plant resembles the Daylily

flower.

The Tiger Lily variety has edible flowers

that are spotted and its flower stalks bear

leaves.  The buds are good sources of

beta carotene and vitamion C.  The

blossoms and tubers are high in protein

and oils.  A pleasant tasting tea can be

made from the buds, shoots and tubers.

The Morniing Glory is considered a

troublesome weed by some, but

if you have to go, it can be quite

valuable.

Although Larkspur comes in many

shades and colors, this deep blue

variety attracts the eye.
